Miriam first discovered EFT by accident. While studying for a diploma in Energetic Healing out of personal interest, a classmate mentioned she had quit smoking after just a few sessions with an EFT practitioner. Intrigued, Miriam began exploring the method and quickly became captivated by its simplicity and its potential for deep, lasting emotional and physical change.

Miriam began offering sessions to work colleagues and, without formal EFT training at the time, delivered striking results. Her very first session was with a colleague whose shoulder had been deteriorating for six months after a surfboard fall at his first surfboard lesson. Despite seeing a physiotherapist, it was now at the point where he could not lift his arm past shoulder height without intense pain and was living with constant discomfort. Miriam booked a conference room to deliver the session during a lunch break. At the end of the session, the colleague walked out with full range-of-motion (the shoulder could go in a full circle backwards and forwards) with zero pain - results that remained permanent.

Another colleague was about to go home due to an oncoming migraine. She was having the early symptoms that indicated she would have a full-blown migraine within a few hours and found that even with medication it was not enough to ward them off – she would need to lie in a dark room and endure it until it passed. Again, Miriam booked a conference room for privacy and guided her colleague through an EFT session. The result: the symptoms completely subsided, the colleague did not develop a migraine and was able to return to her desk and continue working for the rest of the day.

These sessions and others provided Miriam with undeniable proof of what was possible - in her own words: “I wouldn’t have believed the results if I hadn’t have seen with them with my own eyes.” Today, a growing body of research shows EFT has consistent clinical benefits.** A 2025 review of seven randomized controlled trials (506 participants) found significant anxiety reductions.
